Welcome to Ruff Love Dogs!

Ruff Love Dogs has provided dog daycare and boarding services to the communities in and around the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul since 2011! We’re just a few minutes away from Downtown Minneapolis and Northeast Minneapolis!  We offer over 7,000 square feet of play space with four separate indoor play rooms so your dog will have plenty of room to socialize and play no matter their energy level or size. We also have two large outdoor play spaces for your dogs to enjoy some fresh air! Our entire facility is climate controlled year-around with commercial grade AIR CONDITIONING AND HEAT.

Our mission is to provide a safe, fun, and clean environment for all of the dogs we care for!  Our Ruff Love Dogs team members have extensive and diverse backgrounds in caring for dogs and of course WE ALL LOVE DOGS!  Our team strives to create personal relationships with all of our dogs so they feel as comfortable as possible, while at daycare. We would love to meet you and your pup so please give us a call!

FAQs

  • Payment for time at Ruff Love Dogs is taken when you pick up your dog. For the best deal, check out our package rates on our daycare and boarding pages!

  • Ruff Love Dogs is open from 6:30am - 8:00pm during weekdays (M-F). On the weekends, we are open from 9:00am - 5:00pm (Sa-Su). The latest drop off is 1:00pm EVERYDAY.

  • Feel free to bring a pre-measured lunch or dinner for your pup to be fed while they are at daycare. Be sure to write their name on the bag! If your dog doesn’t eat, the food will be returned to you when you pick them up.

  • We welcome young puppies (10 weeks and up) and we make sure to keep a close eye on them. All dogs must have their DHPP and bordetella vaccinations. The rabies vaccination is required by the time your pup is 6 months old. We also require your pup to be spayed or neutered by 6 months old.

  • We ask that dogs are not brought to daycare until you have owned them for at least two weeks. This lowers the chance that they have an underlying illness or any undiscovered aggression. We recommend you socialize your dog with other dogs and people before bringing them to daycare to see how they interact with others.

  • We don’t put dogs in kennels during the day at Ruff Love Dogs. All of our pups are together at all times. If your pup is having trouble adjusting to daycare, we may suggest limiting their daycare hours.

  • We’ll greet you and your dog in the lobby and spend a few minutes getting to know your pup. Your pup will then be slowly introduced to a couple of other dogs at their own pace with one of our senior dog handlers. Once they’re comfortable with that, we’ll introduce them to a larger group of dogs in one of our dog runs! We’ll keep a close eye on them for the rest of their evaluation and let you know how it went, when you come back to pick them up.

  • Nope!

We believe it’s important for dogs to socialize with a diverse group of other dogs that are different breeds, ages, sizes and energy levels.

All dogs that come to Ruff Love Dogs must be able to get along with large dogs, small dogs, older dogs, and puppies.
